A full conversion of an integral garage into a bright, everyday living space in Crowthorne, Berkshire. What was a cold, underused garage is now a warm, comfortable room that adds valuable floor space to the home.
The old up-and-over garage door was removed and the opening rebuilt in brickwork carefully matched to the existing house, finished with a new hardwood-framed leaded window that keeps in character with the property’s other windows. Inside, the space was taken back to blockwork and a new concrete floor, then insulated, plastered and finished from the ground up - complete with wood-effect flooring, skirting, recessed downlighters, a radiator and full redecoration.
